Tip: Protect your In-Box from spam

Many spammers already have your mail address, that’s for sure. Our tip would help to protect the future – because spammers still do not have your address. It’s simple and it works

You ever thought how spammers get your e-mail address? If not publish it openly on the network, so most likely spammers received it from someone who received it from you.

It is known secret: Much spam banks constructed addresses purchased from various sites of service providers – mainly, but not limited to, those who encountered financial difficulties and sought ways to get easy money. Also mailing lists and newsgroups are different where spammers collect addresses.

One solution is not to give your mail address to anyone. Other solution is to provide mailing address for each service provider and website, so that when the spam starts to get to know:

A. Who gave your details.
B. What address block.

What’s nice is that you do not need to open a new mail box every time you want to provide a unique mail address. You need one box, one simple trick.

How to do it

To create a unique e-mail addresses associated with one mailbox, use the feature called Plus Addressing. She supported – by most national and international postal services. We chose to illustrate with Gmail mail service (you can always open an account and transfer the letters to your regular account).

Very simple trick: Every time you give your e-mail address, added to the left strudel the plus sign (+) and right any identifying information.

For example, if your address is sample@gmail.com and you open an account on MySpace, so you can enter the address Sample + MySpace@gmail.com.

The next time that MySpace will send you an e Gmail message router to know your normal box. When you receive the message, the recipient can see the address bar to the message sent is Sample + MySpace@gmail.com. On the other hand, if MySpace ever decide to give your address to any third party (and we remind MySpace site was selected just for example), so you can easily identify spam you have been sent to removing them to MySpace.

If you practice using these virtual addresses every time you give your address, you know every time someone will address your email address to spammer. This will help you if you want to initiate a class action lawsuit against him, or just send him a shell explosion. Alternatively, you can create a rule (rule) Plus throw specific messages that come directly from the address to your spam box.
